Before
The practice started 3 months ago, the first week of October. It started off with lots of auditions. I audited as the role of the daughter for the past two months. And yes, had lots of memorising as the script kept changing. Lol. The practices were getting heavier and heavier as the weeks passed by because there was more time commitment needed. Sincerely, I had given up about 3-4 times because of some disappointment and transportation problems. But I thank God that I managed to went through all the practices with the support of my family and friends. Indeed it was a great experience knowing so many different ones, and no doubt I was blessed by every single one of them. Although there were some frustrations here and there, but thank God for patience and perseverance. The hardest moment that I went through was when the committee has chosen me to be the friend instead of Fion. I cried and was disappointed for about 2 weeks. But from there I've learnt to be more humble and to be more flexible in what I do. Though another "ever-changing" script was given to me, I was able to memorise all of them. (thanks to JOYCE TANG!) She sat with me one Sunday and helped me to memorise my script. Thankssssss Joyce!! *HUGS* However, before the real event I wasn't serious and wasn't doing my best maybe because I'm immune to the whole thing. I was quite numb. But I thank Hai Yen, Cherie and uncle Michael for correcting my mistakes just two days before the musical. Without them, the acting would be dull and unreal. Thankssss so much!! I would also like to thank Joel and my parents for giving me transportation support. They were willing to wait for me to finish practising. Not only that, they were also so willing to spend their money to pay for petrol. hehe.. THANKS!!!!
During
On that day, I arrived PGRM at about 10.10am++. The place was quite dirty and I wonder who used it before us. hmm... I was quite blur as there were so many things happening at the same time. But I just went with the flow. One full rehearsal was done with another super fast rehearsal. After the first full rehearsal, I lost Adeline's (Fion) contact lens solution. I had a hard time finding for it. Until now it is still missing in action. =( At about 2pm++ the make up session started. My make up artist was quite irritating. She kept asking me whether the make up was ok or not during the make up. For me, I would rather her to do everything finish fast fast and don't want to stop halfway. Hmm.. Oh well.. She was quite hard when doing my make up. And the make up powder went into my left eye. Was quite annoyed by that too as I was already quite tensed up before the musical. She tried to style my hair which failed because I don't know why.lol. But overall the make up and the hair was ok lah..
We had prayer before the musical started and everything went on well. During my part, I was so afraid that I would forget my lines. I was so nervous down stage, but to my relieve I can't see a single head when I was on stage. It was super dark. The scene ran smoothly (thank GOD!!) and many people came and accepted Christ (Praise the Lord!). I was sitting on the bench on stage and I could see the people responding to God's calling. My mom's friend and my aunt and her son accepted Christ. Hallelujah!

During the show:

After the show I was super busy taking pictures and talking and receiving presents. I wanna thank everyone for the words of encouragement said to me after the musical. Indeed I was very glad to hear that all of you were blessed by the musical. I went dinner with my church friends and was very very exhausted. But it was worth it. =) Last night I couldn't sleep and the scene I was in kept playing in my mind. Haha.. It's like the post effect of the musical. Overall, I really thank God for this opportunity to serve in this Christmas event. I thank also the director and everyone involved in the musical, not forgetting the photographer, Melvin!! Without you all, this will not be successful. May God grant us His favor as we use ourselves to glorify His name!
